Sturridge Starts – Klopp’s Strongest Possible 4-3-3 Liverpool XI vs the Saints

Liverpool will face Southampton away from home in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi final. Who will come out on top tomorrow night?

After a four game winning run in the league, the Reds have failed to win their last two matches and Klopp will be hoping to bounce back against the Saints.

The big guns should return for the league cup tie. The likes of James Milner and Coutinho are set to return to the squad. Expect Simon Mignolet to replace Loris Karius in the starting XI.

As far as the back four is concerned, Moreno will probably retain his starting place and the likes of Klavan, Lovren and Clyne are expected to return.

Henderson is still recovering and that means we may have to see Emre Can start as a defensive midfielder again. The German international was average against Sunderland.

Daniel Sturridge should start as the lone striker up front. Origi and Firmino may start out wide. Here is Klopp’s strongest possible 4-3-3 Liverpool XI vs the Saints.
