Dimitri Payet wants out of West Ham United and reports suggest that two top Premier League clubs have moved in to sign the French international.
Daily Star reported that Manchester United and Arsenal have opened talks with the representatives of Payet to see if he will want to join.
The Red Devils were interested in signing Payet last summer as well. Two months back, Mirror claimed that the Red Devils are ready to sign the £35million rated ($43million) superstar. Moreover, last month, reports suggested that Mourinho personally called Payet to tell him that he is wanted at Old Trafford (SW via Le10Sport).
United splashed heavy cash to lure Henrikh Mkhitaryan last summer. Now, securing the signature of Payet will further amplify the quality of their attack.
Star have reported that the 29-year-old star wants to join Marseille who have recently got two bids rejected for the playmaker.
The above mentioned asking price is very high and it will not come as any surprise if the French side fail to match it. On the other hand, the Old Trafford club have the financial power to sign Payet.
At the moment, Mkhitaryan starts on the left wing and record signing Pogba starts in the No.10 position behind Ibrahimovic. Paul has got the freedom to move into the midfield as well. Martial and Rashford are two players who normally start on the left wing under Mourinho and Payet is technically better than both.
The Les Bleus star can play in multiple attacking positions but if he does end up at United, Mourinho will most likely utilize him in the left hand side of the attack.
