Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace – Who Will Come Out on Top?

Bournemouth and Crystal Palace will collide at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on 31st January.
Not many believed that the Cherries will survive relegation last season but they stepped up big time under the management of Eddie Howe and finished 16th.
Bournemouth seem all set to survive relegation this time around as well. At the moment, they are 12th in the table, 10 points above the relegation zone and only two points behind Stoke City, who are currently 9th in the table.
As far as Crystal Palace are concerned, they sacked Alan Pardew after a terrible start, hoping that a new boss will turn things around at Selhurst Park. Unfortunately, their season has gone from bad to worse under the management of Sam Allardyce.
Bournemouth and Palace have the same shirt sponsor in the form of Mansion Group, a Gibraltar-based company running websites such as Casino.com and they will surely want both the teams to play in the PL next season. However, things are not looking bright for the Eagles.
Under Sam, Palace drew their first game against Watford. After that, they have lost four straight fixtures in the Premier League and now find themselves in 18th place, 2 points behind Swansea City, who jumped out of the relegation zone after beating high flying Liverpool FC at Anfield.
Howe’s men have not been in decent form lately. In their last six league games, Bournemouth have only won once. Moreover, they were recently ousted from the FA Cup by Millwall.
Since joining the club, Allardyce’s only victory has come in the FA Cup against Bolton. Record signing Christian Benteke scored both the goals as Palace defeated the Wanderers 2-1. Before their next game in the Premier League, the Eagles have to face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
This season, Palace have scored more goals than Bournemouth in the PL but they have conceded more goals as well and that is perhaps the main reason why they are in the relegation zone. The Eagles have only kept one clean sheet, on the other hand, the Cherries have kept six.
Who will come out on top?
