Arsenal Would Expect to Pay Over €15million-a-year to Seal Signing

Manager Arsene Wenger has got an over crowded attacking midfield department at Arsenal at the moment.
The Gunners have stars like Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanchez and record signing Mesut Ozil. Not to forget, stars like Ramsey, Perez and Cazorla can play in the attacking midfield as well.
Therefore, the North Londoners really do not need to sign another playmaker. Instead, they should hold onto their superstars and must agree new deals with Ozil and Alexis.
Still, Daily Mail have reported that Arsenal will challenge Manchester United to sign (next summer) Antoine Griezmann, who has a release clause of 85 million pounds in his contract.
Griezmann is without doubt one of the best playmakers in the world. In 19 league appearances, this season, the French international has netted 8 goals and provided 4 assists for Atletico Madrid.
Capable of playing anywhere in the attack, the former Real Sociedad star will improve any attack. Moreover, the idea of lining up with Griezmann, Alexis and Ozil in the attacking midfield should be too mouth watering for Wenger and the supporters.
The Gunners are not really renowned for agreeing huge contracts with players but as per the provided Daily Mail link, Arsenal would expect to pay over £250,000-a-week, £13million-a-year (€15million-a-year) to seal the signing of Griezmann.
As per Mail, United believe that they are in pole position to sign Pogba’s team mate. Moreover, Chelsea are also interested in signing Antoine and City have the funds to hire his services as well.
