After a disappointing defeat against Manchester United, Tottenham have bounced back with consecutive victories and now find themselves only a point behind arch rivals Arsenal who occupy the fourth place.
The North Londoners must improve the quality of their squad in the winter transfer window to earn CL qualification for next season and to have any chance of winning the league title this season.
At the moment, Spurs are 10 points behind league leaders Chelsea who registered their 11th PL win on the trot against the Eagles on Saturday.
As far as the transfers are concerned, Spurs are linked with an Ivorian starlet in the form of Franck Kessie and if reports are anything to go by then they have already moved in with an offer to seal his signing.
According to reports (CalcioMercato), Spurs have already made on offer of 23 million euros ($24million) to hire the services of the 20-year-old African player.
This season, Kessie has so far scored 6 goals and provided 2 assists in 16 appearances for the Italian side.
As per the provided CalcioMercato link, Chelsea and Juve are also interested in signing Kessie but the Italian champions are not going to enter a bidding war with the London clubs. Moreover, even Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to sign him.
Kessie mainly plays in the defensive midfield, a position that Spurs really do not need to reinforce next month. Pochettino signed a top holding midfielder in the form of Wanyama last summer and already has Eric Dier there as well.
In your opinion, should Spurs sign Franck Kessie?
