Manchester United Can Finally Get Star Signing Done for $19million

Manchester United are looking to strengthen their back line in the winter transfer window and once again Southampton and Portugal star Jose Fonte is heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Back in summer, the Red Devils were interested in luring the Euro 2016 winner but Jose eventually stayed with the Saints.
Now, according to the recent reports going on in the media (The Sun), Manchester United can finally hire the services of the veteran central defender for a fee of 15 million pounds ($19million). Southampton have slapped the mentioned price tag on their key star.
The former Crystal Palace star currently captains the Saints’ team and has featured in 16 games for them this season.
United already have an overcrowded central defense with players like Blind, Rojo, Jones, Smalling and summer signing Bailly in the squad. Therefore, it does not make much sense to sign a 32-year-old defender who is past his best.
The Red Devils are also interested in signing (via De Telegraaf) Fonte’s team mate Virgil van Dijk and should push to secure the signature of the Dutch star instead.

Fonte is 33 this month and Mourino must be mental if he is even thinking about paying 15 £million but knowing
    Woodward it is about right

van Dijk would actually make sense. I have zero belief in Jones. Rojo has shown he is good centrally, but for those who watched his start at United, already knew this
