Liverpool Ready to Agree Huge $9.7million-a-Year Deal

Liverpool are flying high in the Premier League and have a real chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
The Reds have not featured in Europe’s elite competition since 2014-15 season when they were knocked out in the group stages. Moreover, Liverpool have not featured in the KO stages of the competition since the 2008-09 campaign.
Suarez was influential when Liverpool last qualified for the CL but the Uruguayan international was sold before the start of the campaign and the Merseysiders suffered big time in the competition.
It will be fair to say that right now, Coutinho is Liverpool’s best player and Klopp must hold onto him no matter what happens. In 14 games this season, the Brazilian playmaker has directly contributed in 12 goals (6 goals and 6 assists). Currently, he is out with an ankle injury.
According to Daily Star, the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Manchester City are interested in signing the former Inter Milan star and it could take a world record fee of £90million to lure him.
However, as per the provided Star link, the Reds do not want to lose their talisman and are ready to offer a new deal that will make him earn £150k-a-week, £7.8million-a-year ($9.7million-a-year).
Goes without saying Coutinho is a very important player in Jurgen Klopp’s system and deserves a new deal.
