Deal Close – Arsenal to Agree $23.5million Deal – Not Ozil/Alexis

Arsenal are looking to secure new deals with more than a few first team players. They must hold onto their star players to win the title this season.
Stars like, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin are in the limelight as far as the new contracts are concerned (Daily Mail).
The Gunners are expected to seal a huge deal with Mesut Ozil that will make the former Real Madrid star earn £200,000-a-week for the next five years.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, star striker Olivier Giroud is going to sign a one year extension to his current deal. Alexis Sanchez is currently Arsenal’s first choice striker and in such a scenario, Giroud has mostly warmed the bench this season and used as an impact substitute.
On the other hand, Mail report that Coquelin is close to signing a new deal that will double his current wages i.e. make him earn £80,000-a-week, £18.72million ($23.5million) until 2021.
The 25-year-old star is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League and has already featured in 18 games in the current campaign for the gunners.

Bonaroca:- There is no doubt the Arsenal Board should endorse the tying down of the above mentioned
although I would put a question mark on Giroud. At this moment Arsenal have a very good squad with
a good back of youngsters from the Academy, but at the end of the day, the system in my humble opinion
with all Arsenal literally ball playing footballers is not giving the required results because our opponent
have been able to exploit our short comings which is mainly trying to slow down the game with passing
the ball from one player to another giving their opponents to fall on the defence. Arsenal are gifted with
two players Ozil and Sanchez who in my opinion up to a certain extent could be the double of Hungarians
Kocis and Puscas with Higibuti/Palatos pulling the strings which is the missing link. Arsenal have lost
Gnabry, so they have to do with Iwardi and the Ox-Ch. Willie Meisel used to say show me your half back
line and I will show what a team you have. In my humble opinion Arsenal have all that talent.with due
respect to Mr Wenger I have singled out the B’Mouth manager taking over. I am 20 years older then Mr
Wenger and in all honesty I would like to see him as the watch dog of all the teams under the Arsenal Flag
