Offer Already Made – Man Utd Closer to Agreeing $47million Signing

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move to sign Benfica star Victor Lindelof in the past few days.
It has been reported that the Swedish central defender is Mourinho’s top priority and United have already moved in with an offer of 38 million pounds ($47million) to hire his services (via Mirror).
Moreover, as per the latest reports going on in the media, United are now a step closer to signing the 22-year-old defender after a delegation from the the Primeira Liga champions flew to England for talks.
Portuguese source O JOGO reported that Luís Filipe Vieira has traveled to England to seal a deal with Manchester United for the transfer of Lindelof. The report says that the President of Benfica is looking to negotiate a fee of around 45 million euros ($47million) plus bonuses for the prized asset.
Lindelof has made twenty one appearances for the Portuguese giants this season. He made his senior national debut earlier this year and has played 11 games for Sweden.
Summer signing Eric Bailly has proved to be injury prone so far. Moreover, if the Ivorian international returns to full fitness before the new year, he will be leaving for the African Cup of Nations. Therefore, United need to sign a top quality defender next month and luring Lindelof will be a big capture.
