Klopp Can Agree $17.2million Winger Signing to Replace Mane at Liverpool

Klopp Origi InjuryLiverpool are doing brilliantly and have the best attacking department in England so far this season.
However, the Reds will need to reinforce their offense in the winter transfer window when summer signing Sadio Mane departs to take part in the African Cup of Nations in January.
The Senegalese international has been fantastic for the Merseysiders since completing his big money move to Anfield from Southampton.
In 11 appearances, the 24-year-old attacker has directly contributed in 10 goals (6 goals and 4 assists).
Mane LFCJurgen Klopp is already looking at players who could possibly replace the African star in January and the latest name in the limelight is Bayer Leverkusen winger Julain Brandt (SportBild via Express).
The 20-year-old German international has already featured in over 100 games for the Bundesliga side and can play on either flank. Last season, in 18 league starts, Julian netted 9 goals and provided 5 assists.
As per the provided Sportbild link, Brandt’s current market value is around 16 million euros ($17.2million), however, he can leave early if a clause of 12.5million euros is met.
In your opinion, is Julian Brandt good enough to cover for Mane?

  1. Graeme Braisby says:

I think Brandt would be a very good buy for Liverpool, not only does Klopp know him, the player understands Klopps philosophy too.
We have the need for a replacement for mané whilst he’s at the Africa cup of nation’s.

As I know as much about him as he knows about me it is difficult to make a decision either way, regarding whether or not he is good enough for LFC. The only certainty is that I’m NOT good enough for them!!!! We mustn’t overload on midfielders though, with Dahoud supposedly on his way, as having so many that few will play regularly is a sure-fire way of annoying huge egos when they get fed-up of sitting on benches. I think the Sturridge situation needs addressing as he doesn’t play as often as he’d like and sometimes takes away from the tactical regime when he does.
We also need another CB, as a matter of urgency, but I’d love to see Gomez given a run there as he looked a superb prospect before he was injured. Not convinced by Lovren, unfortunately.

Agree about Lovren. Never convinced me and we paid way too much for him. I would like to ss Sakho given a run though I do not know what the “politics” are.

  4. Eric says:

He will be good buy if we can secure him, and he stil 20 he can benefit from klopp method. Ynwa

Hope to see Jonathan Tah in Anfield.
