After a long transfer saga, Manchester United finally signed Paul Pogba from Italian champions Juventus.
It will not come as any surprise if the French international starts against Bournemouth in United’s opening Premier League fixture.
On the other hand, German international Bastian Schweinsteiger has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford and if the latest reports are anything to go by then the Red Devils have moved in to agree his exit this summer.
According to reports (Calciomercato), Manchester United have offered the former Bayern Munich central midfielder to Juventus who are in search Pogba’s replacement.
The World Cup winning star who recently retired from international duty joined the Old Trafford club last summer under the management of Louis van Gaal. The 32-year-old superstar could only start 13 league games for the Red Devils.
Schweni is clearly past his best and has fitness concerns as well. Moreover, United already have more than a few midfielders in the squad and selling Bastian would be the right decision.
