Having already secured the signing of a superstar midfielder in the form of Paul Pogba from Juventus, Mourinho is interested in signing another star from the Serie A champions in the form of Leonardo Bonucci.
The 29-year-old Italian player is arguably one of the best central defenders in the world and will largely improve Man United’s back line. However, signing him will probably be even harder than luring Pogba.
According to reports (MEN via Calciomercato), the Manchester United manager is keen on hiring the services of the former Inter Milan star but the chances are not really high because the Old Lady could offer him a new improved deal.
After breaking the transfer record to sign Pogba, United will have to splash heavy cash again if they are to have any hope of luring Bonucci. According to Daily Mirror, Juventus rate Leonardo around 60 million euros ($67million).
Bonucci has played over 250 games and won 12 major titles with the Bianconeri. He was a key member of the Azzurri side at the European Championships.
