Liverpool Set to Close in to Agree $26.7million Star Signing

Liverpool FCAfter winning the Premier League title last season, Leicester face a tough task of holding onto their key players this summer.
The Foxes have already sold star defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante to Chelsea and now his last season’s midfield partner Danny Drinkwater is linked with a move away from the club as well.
The Sun recently reported that Tottenham are looking to sign the 26-year-old versatile midfielder in a deal worth 20 million pounds ($26.7million).
However, the North Londoners are not the only club interested in signing the former Manchester United player. Liverpool have planned to close in with an offer as well. According to Daily Mail, the Reds have lined up a move to hire the services of the England international this summer.
Drinkwater was highly impressive for Leicester last season under the management of Italian boss Claudio Ranieri. He can effectively play in the central/defensive midfield.
Last season, Danny featured in 37 games (all competitions) for Leicester and directly contributed in 11 goals (three goals and eight assists).
This summer, Liverpool have not really reinforced their central midfield as yet and perhaps they must splash the cash to sign Danny Drinkwater.

We’ve bought a lot of players from premiership clubs and I don’t remember any of them setting the world alight apart from maybe Sturridge for 1 season playing alongside Suarez . We’ve spent millions on the likes of Henderson, Charley Adam, downing,Lovren,Clyne,Mignolet ,Sturridge,Lambert, lallana,Carroll,Enrique ,etc and yet again our main signings seem to be coming from local clubs again . Will the likes of mane and wijnaldum do any better ?every year most fans seem to think so anyway . At least they have faith

These buys are exactly what Brendan Rodgers and the LFC Transfer committee did, It’s a PITY that even the highly hyped J. Klopp is doing the same. You can’t used the same methodology and expect different results! I’m afraid LFC will not finish in the Top Four!!
