Two Deals Already Agreed – Liverpool can Seal Another AM Signing

Liverpool FCHaving already reinforced his attacking midfield by signing two key attackers like Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum, Klopp does not really need to strengthen the department any further this summer.
However, reports suggest that the Reds are linked with a move for another AM in the form of Dutch international Anwar El Ghazi who plays for Eredivisie side AFC Ajax.
According to reports (Talksport via Il Tempo), Liverpool have been interested in signing the versatile attacker and can secure his signature for a fee of just 15 million pounds ($19million).
Ajax have slapped the above mentioned price tag on the 21-year-old attacker who was in top form last season. El Ghazi is one of the most exciting talents in the Netherlands.
The former Sparta Rotterdam winger featured in 27 league games for the Dutch side last season and directly contributed in no fewer than 14 goals (11 goals and 3 assists). Anwar can play on either flank and has also been utilized effectively as a center forward.
In your opinion, should Liverpool splash the cash and sign El Ghazi?

Very, very good player but shouldn’t we have given more thought to our squad make-up as, as far as I can remember, no team has won anything with fifteen attacking midfielders, no dependable strikers, a winger playing full-back and no specialist defensive midfielder!
Half of our attacking midfielders will play every fourth game if they are lucky so why are we not seeing any supposedly inadequate players leaving?????
Lucas going? Apparently. Milner, Henderson and Lallana? Who knows . . . but my money is on Mane, Wjnaldum, Firmino, Can and Coutinho being the starting five with Grujic not far behind. Add this El Ghazi to the list and Milner and Henderson almost certainly won’t get much of a look-in and Lallana will be making appearances from the bench mainly. That gives us about £30m-worth of talent not getting a look-in unless Milner is going to seriously be taken for a FB!!!!! God, I hope not!
Then we’ve got regular mentions of that Joao (is that how you spell it?) guy supposedly arriving from Portugal. The mind boggles sometimes!
Too much chopping and changing now with many of these players expected to get fed-up of not playing and we’ll see their egos throwing the dummies out of the pram by Christmas.
This El Ghazi guy is doing what Memphis Depay did in Holland the previous year so he is a great player but just look at what happened to him when he came to play with the big boys . . . .
Must admit, I’d go for him but we seriously need to do some trimming of the midfield area at the same time!

  2. Klopp wants to provide huge competition in the attack and this will make players sit up. The best will take the first team shirts. However, he must not forget to sign a left back. Moreno Alberto is poor defensively. He is more of a wing back.

If all said can be done, It’s a good idea to sign El Ghazi considering his recent performance last season 27 league game, 11 goals and 3 assist. Just like bringing in Sadio Mane is motivational signal for all the attackers that there will be a great competition among then to get the best and put Liverpool to the best form. Need left full back also to compete with Moreno.

At a closer look,we still need one or two midfield players, injuries contributed to our midtable standing last season,we need more competition for a place or position

  3. hervin says:

Milner Henderson WL HV their playing time.but we need to recruit more so that we know who is the best situated in each position with injury that might happen in the coming future I think klopp is right to recruit more coz last season with injury of coutino Henderson n firmino Liverpool was loosing match as they was nt having leading player.thanks enre can was ther

  4. RED PHIL says:

As I said earlier . . . El Ghazi COULD be the new Memphis Depay! Brilliant in a lousy league but out of his depth in a big one!!!! Risky but still worth a punt . . .
Noticed that we are almost selling Benteke to Palace and Palace are supposedly talking about selling Bolasie to Everton to fund the Benteke deal. Sounds to me as if we should be saying to Palace give us Bolasie and eight million in cash and you can have Benteke! Bolasie is a very good player who, I think, plays down the left so wouldn’t be in direct competition with the four or five right-sided midfielders we’ve bought recently! Certainly don’t want Bolasie signing for Everton!
    Just a thought . . .

Totally agree with you RED PHIL..its like you’re in min d, why bring another average(45%) attacker, when we have the likes of Ojo, Grjic,Henderson,Lallana and are you forgetting Markovic??….and some others, we got exciting youngsters on loan and some in the academy(why buy another Memphis?), if we were to buy an attacker it should be a proven striker or none at all……and it would be really insane to think Can is reliable, we still need Lucas to stay, please i really dont want to see us end up 6th this season. I’m sure the whole El Ghazi story is an Egyptian folklore, just to scare us, Klopp knows better#YNWA#

We’re still one more summer transfer windows away from a true Klopp team I believe, we have an improved defence (LB an obvious weakness) with cover from Lucas and Milly and an improved midfield (missing a strong reliable box to box game runner to supply the runners) and a pacey creative cutting edge up front but just need that owen/suarez type predator that operates in the twilight zone that is when a critical ball comes flying in or deflects into the red zone stunning defenders into ball watchers is already moving in for the kill anticipating instinctively the right layoff or finish (normally finish obviously ultra selfish where goals are concerned! lol). Suarez actually uses his first attempt to beat a defender (which usually results in a nutmeg or a ricochet off the defender then back onto him) to cause chaos freezing some defenders to the turf whilst he’s still very alive and instinctively making his next move towards the target. Most of our new players unfortunately will need one turn of the PL wheel season to really show what they’ve got (bed into home/away venues) or to improve under Klopp in training/gym. Have we got enough to challenge, I hope so, I’ve no doubt however we are improving now, maybe we will see the anticipated Robert Lewandowski like attributes coming from Divock this yr! One huge plus is Klopp/coaches now know each team/venue intimately which will improve his already massively keen strategy/implementation of the current resources. #YNWA
