Man United Looking to Break the Bank to Finally Sign Playmaker

Louis Van GaalManchester United were heavily interested in signing Portuguese sensation Renato Sanches when Louis van Gaal was in charge at Old Trafford.
However, the Red Devils missed out in the end and the highly rated teenage playmaker signed for German champions Bayern Munich for a mammoth fee. If reports are anything to go by then Manchester United are looking to break the bank to finally sign Sanches in future.
The 18-year-old starlet was fantastic for Benfica last season and helped the team win the Primeira Liga title. In 24 league games for the Portuguese giants, Sanches scored 2 goals and provided an assist.
Adding to that, Sanches played a pivotal role in helping Portugal win the European Championships in France.
According to reports (Daily Record), new Man United boss Mourinho is annoyed by the fact that the club failed to sign Sanches. Moreover, the report suggests that the Red Devils have already made inquiries about Renato’s release clause to sign him from the Bundesliga giants in future.
Bayern offered initial €35m and €45m in additional performance related bonuses (ESPN) to sign Sanches. They will not let him leave easily and he will likely have a huge release clause.
