Liverpool are looking to reinforce their midfield department this summer and once again a Brazilian international is in the limelight.
The player in discussion is Benfica star Anderson Talisca who has a release clause (Daily Star) of 37 million pounds ($48 million) in his contract.
The versatile midfielder is edging closer to a move to the Premier League and Liverpool are the club primarily linked to agree his signing. Anderson’s representatives have traveled to England to help him get a work permit (Daily Mirror via Record and A Bola).
Benfica won the Primeira Liga title under the management of Rui Vitoria who rarely used the 22-year-old star in his starting lineup last season.

A striker and a left back is what we need and not just squad player standard . We need players that will immediately improve our starting 11.I don’t see us buying a striker until we’ve sold benteke and balotelli first
Any body had the idea that the whole reason we struggled last season is because of the lack of options to turn to turn just because all these new signings arnt top top quality doesn’t mean its not improving the overall squad.
Klopp is buying good, strong and versatile players, my only concern is, if we start with many new players, it may take time for them to gel and do something great this season. I feel he should still keep the strikers we have, only strengthen them. Mane will partner well with either Sturiddge, Ings or Benteke. We are yet to see the best of Benteke. He had bad season but he is still a top player to hold and sharpen him. Now that we have strong midfielders coming in, you will see the best of these players.
