Klopp Moves in to Sign $45million Versatile Star for Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp DortmundLiverpool are linked with numerous midfielders this summer and players like Piotr Zielinski and Anderson Talisca have been in the limelight.
Now, the Reds are interested in hiring the services of French international Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United. If reports are anything to go by then Klopp has already moved in with an offer to sign the former Toulouse star.
As per reports (Liverpool Echo via Mundo Deportivo), the Merseysiders have made an offer of 18 million pounds ($23 million) to sign the 26-year-old versatile star. Their bid is higher than what Arsenal and Milan have offered for the player.
However, Newcastle United have slapped a price tag (Sky Sports) of 35 million pounds ($45 million) on Sissoko, which means that the Reds will have to match their transfer record fee to sign the Les Bleus star from the Magpies.
Moussa featured in 37 league games for NUFC last season, scored a goal and provided 8 assists. He also made 6 appearances for the national side at the European Championships.
Sissoko is mainly a central midfielder but the pacy star has also played effectively in the attack. He will be a quality addition but paying a sum of $45 million to sign him makes little sense.

Sissoko a world class act. A 2 in 1 act of Leiva and Allen. Combine their sale on value and buy Mr Versatile. Inconsistent but who isnt? Couts? Firminho? Chan? Milner? Hendo? They all are.

Well if most of our squad isn’t consistent then buying another 1 won’t be a good idea surely ? Maybe we should be looking for a player that is consistent since that’s what we lack in our squad ?

Prior to the Euro’s a price of perhaqps 10 to 15 Million was being quoted and taking into consideration Newcastle had been relegated, there was a good chance of acquiring the player, however since the Euro’s the price has esculated and Newcastle want slly money, even though Sissoko will obviously want to leave a club who are in the second tier of English football, as the finished article he certainly isn’t, but definitely has the potential and pace to improve his game, even though he sometimes went missing at Newcastle last season, his goal return and assists isn’t the best either

I have to agree and confess that I am very skeptical and concerned with this link. There is no way, in my opinion, that Sissoko has shown anything like enough to firstly warrant Klopp’s attention and secondly, to warrant a fee anything like what is being uttered. Absolutely crazy money! If Newcastle did not want him to leave, they should tell him that he is going nowhere instead of inflating his worth and seeing if they have any takers. There are much better options for Klopp to be interested in.

Rather than going all out for another central midfielder when there’s just too many in the squad for that role….why don’t we just go all out for a proven defensive midfielder…..one that would bring a balance in the link between attack and defence….

We don’t need him we have better options that are bringing out results he’s a type of player that doesn’t know his position.
