The Merseysiders are now focusing on amplifying the quality of their midfield department and Benfica star Anderson Talisca is currently in the limelight.
According to reports in the past two days (Express, O Jogo), Liverpool are closing in to sign the £21m rated Brazilian international from the Portuguese champions.
The 22-year-old Samba star finds himself in a complex scenario at Benfica under the management of Rui Vitoria and a move to Liverpool will be perfect for him. He scored 9 goals and provided one assist for the Primeira Liga side last season.
Talisca is mainly a creative central midfielder who can play in the attack as well. If Anderson does end up signing for the Reds, he will probably replace captain Henderson in the starting XI.

Once again LFC are being linked with an obscure talent in Talisca.OK he is Brazilian, does he play for the national side ,is he a midfielder, is he a striker who knows. I get the feeling that because Juergen Klopp has a penchant for Brazilian players ,this is a figment of someone’s imagination and not a reflection on my football knowledge. The guy is unknown outside of Portugal and possibly Brazil ,but he does tick one very important box in my opinion, he actually wants to play for LFC, we should look for more players like him .YNWA.
Once upon a time it would have been questioned ‘why should Klopp sign an obscure player like Mane’? The best will never be discovered untill all are tested. can bet any body that this Anderson Talisca will be a huge success for LFC. As always, time will proof me 100% right – that is if he is finally brought to Anfield.
Don’t know if klopp will want to fit him as a defensive midfielder to play with can.
