Arsenal are linked with numerous attackers this summer but not many are better than Armenian international and Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Gunners have been interested in signing the versatile playmaker for quite some time and were linked with a move to sign him last summer as well (Bild).
Now, if reports are anything to go by then Wenger has finally moved in with an offer to get Mkhitaryan signing done.
According to Squawka, Arsenal have made an offer worth 20 million pounds to hire the services of the 27-year-old attacker. Henrikh is rated around 25 million pounds ($35m) according to the Sun who claimed (on 7th June) that the Gunners are closing in to sign him.
The dilemma for Arsenal is that Mkhitaryan wants to join rivals Manchester United instead. Adding to that, Dortmund CEO has stated the player is not going to be sold this summer (ESPN).
It will be intriguing to see if Wenger can somehow convince the high class” attacker (News.am) to join the North London club.
Mkhitaryan provided no fewer than 32 assists last season for the Bundesliga side, way better than Mesut Ozil, who managed to get 20 assists in all competitions for the Gunners.
