Tottenham Clear to Finally Get $29million Star Signing Done

Pochettino-TottenhamTottenham have been looking to sign a cover striker for Harry Kane for the past two transfer windows and Mauricio Pochettino must lure one at all costs this time around.
The North Londoners are going to be taking part in the UEFA Champions League and lack of depth in any area is not going to help them against the big teams in Europe.
Fortunately, Kane has not been injury prone or else Spurs would have faced a huge dilemma. If reports are anything to go by then Tottenham are clear to sign 19-year-old Swiss striker Breel Embolo who currently plays for FC Basel (Goal).
As per the provided Goal link, Basel sporting director has confirmed that the versatile forward will most likely be leaving the club this summer.
Spurs were linked with a move to sign him last year as well (Goal) and must act swiftly to finally secure his signature.
Few weeks back, the Sun reported that Spurs are weighing up a move to sign Embolo and Basel rate him around $29 million.
Last season, Breel played as a center forward/winger and directly contributed in 17 goals in 27 league games for the Swiss side. In your opinion, should Spurs splash the cash to sign Embolo?

  1. Breel Great Signing & Should Get Chico

  2. Number9 says:

Looks like a solid signing, but I still feel Spurs need more cover for Kane. Son Heung-min hasn’t exactly lit up the league since his transfer, and Spurs have looked short on depth up front. One injury to Kane/Lamela/Erikson, and they suddenly don’t look as coherent. A few newspapers were reporting a bid for Alex Lacazette of Lyon. Now that would be a statement signing! It’s something Daniel Levy should be looking to pursue after their impressive season.

He ‘ contributed in ‘ 17 goals last season . I’d like to know how many he scored . We certainly wouldn’t want any back up for Harry to have scored less than 10 the previous season .
