Tottenham supporters will be furious with the latest reports suggesting that one of their key transfer targets in the form of Swiss international Breel Embolo is heading to join Man United.
According to German source Leipziger Volkszeitung, RB Leipzig were edging closer to sign the 19-year-old forward but then Man United boss Jose Mourinho stepped in and changed the entire scenario.
Breel netted 13 goals and provided 9 assists in 40 games for FC Basel last season. In 2014/15, the teenage striker scored 17 goals and provided 13 assists in 42 games for the Swiss side.
As per the provided Lvz.de link, RB Leipzig have pulled out of the deal to sign Embolo believing that the Red Devils have already won the race to secure his signature.
United have been interested in signing the youngster for quite some time. The Old Trafford club were linked with a move to lure Embolo last year as well (TuttoSport). They now look all but certain to finally seal the signing of the $29m (Express via MEN) rated striker.
