Tottenham Hotspur sold Andros Townsend to Newcastle United last January and the England international performed well for the Magpies after leaving the North London club.
Liverpool are linked with numerous playmakers this summer and now the 24-year-old attacker is in the lime light as well. If reports are anything to go by then Klopp is ready to move in to sign the versatile star.
According to reports (Mirror), Liverpool are ready to make a move to hire the services of Andros Townsend who has a release clause of 10.5 million pounds ($15 million) in his contract.
Last season, the pacy winger mainly played for the U-21 Tottenham side. In 35 Under-21 PL games, he scored 15 goals and provided 15 assists. After moving to Newcastle, he scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 13 appearances.
Andros has featured 10 times for the senior national side and scored 3 goals. Capable of playing on either flank, he can add more pace and power to Liverpool’s attack, however, the Reds should really pursue the signature of Southampton star Sadio Mane.
