Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp seems very serious about reinforcing his midfield department this summer. Not to forget, the Reds have already lured Marko Grujic last winter.
The Merseysiders are heavily linked with a move for Polish midfielder Pitor Zielnski. Moreover, if reports in the Italian media are anything to go by then Klopp is ready to meet the asking price of Mexican and Porto star Hector Herrera.
According to reports (Sport Mediaset), Napoli are serious about signing the versatile midfielder but are only ready to pay 20 million Euros to hire his services. On the other hand, Liverpool are providing strong competition and are willing to pay the 25 million Euros ($28million) needed to secure Herrera’s signing.
10 days ago, Fox Sports Mexico reporter Vladimir Garcia claimed that Herrera is close to sealing Liverpool move.
The “fantastic” star (ESPN) who can play as a central and attacking midfielder scored 9 goals and provided 4 assists in 29 league games for the Primeira Liga side last season.
In three Copa America Centenario games, Herrera scored a goal against Uruguay and provided an assist vs Jamaica.
