Klopp can Finally Seal "Extraordinary" $34million Signing for Liverpool

Liverpool FCLiverpool are interested in heavily reinforcing their midfield this summer and are linked with more than a few quality players.
Over the past few weeks, Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski has been linked with a move to Anfield and recently the Reds have moved in with an offer to lure him as well.
Another familiar name is in the lime light in the form of Croatia and Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic. The Reds were eager (Telegraph) to lure him from Inter Milan last summer but the 22-year-old complete midfielder opted to join the Los Blancos.
Now, according to reports in the Italian media (Gazzetta), Madrid are ready to sell the Croatian midfielder for a fee of $34million. Back in April, there were reports in Spain (Defense Central) that Klopp is willing to pay the mentioned fee for Kovacic. The German manager has the chance now and must splash the $34m demanded by the European Champions to sign Mateo.
Kovacic featured in 34 games for the Spanish giants last season but only started 11 times, scored a goal and provided 2 assists. Currently, the former Nerazzurri star is at the European Championships with the national side.
The “extraordinary” Croat (Goal) can play anywhere in the midfield and technically he is better than Zielinski.

When the rumour started that LFC was interested in the services of Mario Baloteli, I went to LFC facebook page and warned them against it. I did same in Brendan Rogers Facebook page. Whether they read it or not was not my business anymore. Today, all can see that the said Mario Baloteli had nothing to offer my LFC. I am a very good numerologist. Those who know me think am extraodinary (sorry am not advertising myself, am trying to make a point). Matoe Kovacic may be a very good player but he will end up like Baloteli in LFC. We better spend that money somewhere else. Just one world class striker and a very good left back is what we need now in addition to Daniel and liverpool will compete for the league tittle. That’s what my calculations points to.

According to reports, this guy has always been very popular with the fans at whichever club he’s played for. Bearing in mind fans are normally good judges of a player, his skill, his effort and his passion, that says quite a lot as far as I’m concerned. Managers are NOT the only good judges of players! Everybody knew that Balotelli was “damaged goods” long before he came to LFC so the fact that we signed him, after letting every decent player move to other clubs beforehand and finding Balotelli the only player still on the shelf, shows how ludicrous our transfer policy can be.
However, this Kovacic has done very well at Inter, when they had a really good team, and it’s not a disgrace to not be able to get into a well-settled Madrid team so I’m more than willing to give him a go. As I know nothing about Mr Zeilinski I can’t offer a worthwhile comparison, sorry!
Can’t argue about the need for a new LB and striker but, as usual, I can’t say anything without talking about how much we need a new SPECIALIST defensive midfielder. Henderson isn’t good enough, Lucas most certainly isn’t good enough, Milner is better further up the field and we’ve not really had a true defensive midfielder since Alonso. Somebody to partner Can would be welcome, VERY welcome.
Also like the rumours regarding us getting another CB, with Germany seemingly awash with them.

How do Liverpool need a striker if we scored the 3rd most goals in the premier league all we need a leader in the midfield which is less likely Liverpool a left back we most definitely need cause Moreno is an attacking minded player can’t defend anything and a proper right winger to support clyne.

Why is the author using the dollar ($) to denote the cost of players here in Europe?

Because we have American owners and he has to highlight the figures that are being bandied about.

I was very hopeful that liverpool f.c. would sign Mateo Kovacic last summer but he moved to Real Madrid.I m not sure he wants liverpool move now.Meanwhile Zienlliski has shown his willingness to play for LFC.I prefer us LFC signing Ziellinski to Kovacic that may hope for more inclusion in Zidane’s team given that LFC is not playing in Europe.I think Ziellinski could be more realistic.
