Alexis Starts – Arsenal's Potential 4-2-3-1 XI vs Man City

Alexis Sanchez ChileArsenal and Manchester City will collide on Monday night in a contest that may take the winner to the top of the table if Everton beat league leaders Leicester City on Saturday.
At the moment, the Gunners (33) lead the Citizens (32) by a single point and are in much better form as well. Moreover, the North Londoners should hold stronger cards at the Emirates Stadium.
As far as Arsenal’s team news is concerned, Chilean international Alexis Sanchez might be fit to face the Sky Blues. The former Barcelona attacker returned to training (Daily Star) last Monday and is expected to be fit for the all important clash.

The team has done well without Sanchez but it will not come as a surprise if the quality playmaker makes it into the starting XI. He will probably replace Joel Campbell in the line up.
Here is Arsenal’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI vs Man City.

  1. SA Gunner says:

Leave Walcott the over rated lazy, self opinionated semi first league player on the bench… play Campbell

  2. Oloo says:

Even though Campbell has given a good account of himself. Theo can never be as bad as you are describing. Have you been watching Arsenal in the last few years/? Campbell has a way to go to accomplish what Theo has accomplished. That said, For this game, I would bench Alexis. Just because I think its too risky to play soon after injury.

  3. Bonaroca says:

Bonaroca:- I have nothing against Walcott, but for this match I would prefere Campbell who seems to have
gelled up well with Bellerin, apart that his roaming about and interchanging position is an advantage when
Arsenal are attacking. Walcott could come out freshly in the last 20/15 minutes of the game were his running
forward could leave opening gaps in perhaps a tired defence for Gereaux and Alexis to score.
