Man United to Splash $22.7m to Seal Superstar Signing

Manchester UnitedManchester United failed to reinforce their central defense in the summer transfer window by hiring a top defender.
The Red Devils chased the likes of Sergio Ramos and Nicolas Otamendi but the Spanish international eventually stayed with the Los Blancos and the Argentine star joined rivals Manchester City.
Louis van Gaal is still keen about signing a top center half. Metro cite reports in the Spanish media claiming that Man United are ready to splash as much as $22.7 million to seal the signing of Portuguese center back Pepe.

The 32-year-old veteran defender has been a brilliant asset for Real Madrid over the years and has got the quality to be a major hit with the Red Devils as well.
This season, Pepe has only started three games for the Spanish giants as manager Rafael Benitez has preferred Sergio Ramos and Varane in the central defense. United must act swiftly to secure his signature.
