Tottenham Hotspur are not going to be happy if Manchester United snap up one of their prime transfer targets in the form of Saido Berahino.
The North Londoners were keen (Daily Star) to sign the West Brom star in the summer transfer window but the England international eventually stayed with the Baggies.
Now, Daily Star cite reports in the Italian media claiming that Louis van Gaal wants Saido Berahino to strengthen Man United’s attacking line and to add an option that can challenge captain Rooney and summer signing Anthony Martial.
The 22-year-old star was brilliant for the Albions last season and scored no fewer than 20 goals in all competitions. This season, he has netted three times in seven league appearances for West Brom.
Overall, Saido Berahino has netted 81 goals (club and country) in his career so far (Transfermarkt). He is a proven Premier League attacker who has got the quality to be a hit with the Red Devils.

Saido Berahino would really provide United with fire power and reduce pressure on Matial and Rooney . He would combine well with Anthony Martial and Saido Mane as well as Memphis De Paye .
