Walcott Starts – Arsenal’s Probable XI vs Sheffield Wednesday

Arsenal FCArsenal defeated Everton to continue their brilliant winning run and will hope to extend the run with another win in the midweek against Sheffield Wednesday.

As far as Arsenal’s team news is concerned, expect Wenger to make more than a few changes in the starting lineup that featured vs the Toffees on Saturday.

In the absence of injured goalie Ospina, Cech may start the Capital One Cup game tomorrow night.

As far as the defense is concerned, Debuchy should replace Hector Bellerin in the right back position. Gibbs will probably start in place of Nacho Monreal on the left hand side of defense. Calum Chambers should partner Gabriel in the central defense.

Flamini should return to the starting XI in place of compatriot Francis Coquelin and may partner Cazorla in the midfield.

In the attack, Campbell may replace Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott will probably replace Giroud in the starting lineup. Here is Arsenal’s probable XI vs Sheffield Wednesday.

  1. Al the Gooner says:

Are you serious? There is no way we will start both Santi and Ozil, Ozil will almost certainly be rested IMO and I personally think we should rest both. At least 1 youngster will start, probably Iwobi and Bielik might play alongside Flamini if Arsene is feeling like taking a gamble, and I think Mert is more likely to partner Chambers. Renne Adelaide is another teen that could get a run out.
