Manchester United spent heavy cash to lure two top attacking players in the form of Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial in the summer transfer window.
However, the Red Devils still need to reinforce their offense to challenge the best of teams for top prizes.
If reports are anything to go by then the Old Trafford club will once again try to sign Thomas Muller in the next transfer window.
Metro cite reports in the Spanish media claiming that Man United will close in on the German international in the winter transfer window.
Moreover, as per the provided Metro link, United expect to finally seal Muller signing in the new year because they know how much the Bundesliga champions want to do business.
Man United manager Louis van Gaal handed Muller his debut during his time with Bayern Munich. Since then, Thomas has been a key member of the club and the national side as well.
Muller has scored 126 goals and provided 106 assists in over 300 appearances for the German giants. This season, the 26-year-old star has already scored 6 goals in 5 games (Transfermarkt).
Capable of playing in various attacking positions, Muller will largely improve Man United’s attack. However, securing his signing in mid-season is going to be very difficult. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the winter.
