After four disappointing games, Liverpool will hope to get back to winning ways when they face Carlisle in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night.
Manager Brendan Rodgers should make more than a few changes in the starting XI that featured against Norwich City on Sunday.
The Welsh manager may use the diamond 4-1-2-1-2 formation and start Danny Ings and Divock Origi in the strike force.
As far as the defense is concerned, Joe Gomez should start in the right back position for the Reds. Young Pedro Chirivella was impressive against Bordeaux in the Europa League game after replacing Toure and should partner Sakho in the central defense. Moreno should retain his place at the left back position.
Jordan Rossiter, Emre Can and Lucas Leiva should start in the midfield. Brazilian playmaker Roberto Firmino will probably start in the No. 10 role behind the two strikers.
Here is Liverpool’s probable starting XI vs Carlisle.
