Liverpool have completed several significant signings this summer mainly to improve their attacking line. However, the performance level has still not improved.
The Reds were absolutely humiliated by West Ham United in their own backyard last Saturday and need further reinforcements to bounce back. Despite splashing huge cash to lure the likes of Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool have only scored 2 goals in 4 league games so far.
In such a scenario, the Merseysiders are looking to sign a top goal scoring playmaker in the form of Ukrainian star Andriy Yarmolenko.
Arsenal have been interested in hiring his services as well and Arsene Wenger even contacted Yarmolenko’s agent. However, Sport Witness cite reports in Italian media claiming that Liverpool are ready to meet Andriy’s release clause to secure his signing.
The 25-year-old Dynamo Kyiv star is a regular scorer and creator of goals and has netted no fewer than 120 senior goals for the club and country. The Reds have sent last summer’s signing Lazar Markovic on loan and Yarmolenko can prove to be a brilliant addition.
Liverpool tried to sign him back in 2013 as well and it seems that now they are finally going to bring him to Anfield.
