With time running out in the transfer window, there are so many rumors in the media linking Man United with a number of top playmakers.
Signing the likes of Gareth Bale and Neymar is easier said than done. A more realistic transfer target is Wolfsburg star and Man City target Kevin De Bruyne.
Various media outlets including Star have claimed that according to reports in Germany, Man United are ready to splash the cash to sign the former Chelsea star.
As per the provided Daily Star link, the Red Devils will offer 55 million pounds to outbid City and secure his signing from the Bundesliga side.
Last season, the Belgian star was the best goal creator and provided the highest number of assists in Europe. De Bruyne featured in 51 games, scored 16 goals and provided no fewer than 28 assists.
His stats are way better than the current Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas who scored 5 goals and provided 24 assists in 47 games for the Blues last season.
Moreover, the 24-year-old star has started this season in brilliant fashion as well. He has already scored a goal and provided 3 assists in 4 games. Fabregas on the other hand has 0 goals/assists to his name in four appearances so far.
Belgium and Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany claimed that Kevin De Bruyne is a phenomenal player and will make any team stronger. Will United beat the Citizens to sign him? Only time will tell.
