Manchester United were not impressed with on loan striker Radamel Falcao last season as the Colombian only netted 4 goals and left the club.
Now, the Red Devils are set to part ways with another star striker Robin van Persie. The Dutch international was arguably the main reason why United won their last league title under the management of Alex Ferguson.
However, since Fergie left the club, van Persie has never been able to find top form and now he seems all set to join Turkish side Fenerbahce.
According to reports, Robin van Persie has agreed to complete transfer away from Manchester United having accepted a four year deal with Fenerbahce.
The former Arsenal star is not the only Red Devils player heading towards Fenerbahce. As previously published, Portuguese winger Nani also seems set to join the Turkish giants.
Fenerbahce fans will be extremely delighted if both signings are made official soon as they are two quality players.
Robin van Persie has scored 58 goals in 105 games for Man United. With his departure, United’s strike-force will seriously lack quality and depth. Van Gaal must surely look to sign two strikers this summer.
