Liverpool have been the busiest Premier League club this summer as they have secured seven key signings.
The Reds have improved their defense with new goalie Adam Bogdan and the signings of key defenders like Nathaniel Clyne and Joe Gomez.
As far as the attacking department is concerned, Liverpool have signed two top players in the form of James Milner and Brazilian playmaker Roberto Firmino.
The merseysiders have also reinforced their strike force with two quality players. Danny Ings arrived from Burnley after an impressive first season in the PL and Belgian striker Christian Benteke is the latest Liverpool signing.
Liverpool are still linked with stars and French defender Lucas Digne is in the lime light. However, the Reds must prioritize signing a versatile midfielder next.
The Anfield club were linked with a move to sign Croat and Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic but the Serie A star has ruled out Liverpool transfer.
Brendan Rodgers must push forward to secure signing of Spanish international and Real Madrid star Illarramendi who is unsettled at the Bernabeu.
The 25-year-old Basque midfielder is a quality star but could only start 10 league games for Los Blancos last season. In the presence of Kroos and Modric, it is highly unlikely that he will get many starts next season under Benitez.
Liverpool need a deep lying playmaker in the squad and Illarramendi perfectly fits the bill.

kovacic is ideal and would better replace milner due to his age
jose gimenez should also be brought in…..he is 20 and has great stats for athletico madrid first team and he acts calmly on the ball and is a great leader. (unlike lovren and wisdom who is an average player)

Liverpool fc need another reliable defender. If only one of the top 4 defenders is injured, then we have to call on lovren or enrique, as much use as a broken stick. Please look at reinforcements in the defence line!
