Stats show Star will be Fantastic for Tottenham

BPLTottenham are ready to improve their defense in order to push for Champions League place next season.
The North Londoners have already secured the signing of Kevin Wimmer for central defense and now reports suggest that Spurs are set to sign Burnley right back Kieran Trippier as they close in on a 3.5 million pounds deal.
Mauricio Pochettino is well aware of the the team’s defensive fragility and the stats have been really poor. Tottenham conceded 51 goals in 2013-2014 league campaign and last season conceded 53 goals.
Spurs will complete a fantastic signing if they secure the services of the Burnley full back who has been strong at the back and productive in attack despite playing for a relegated team.
The stats from last season explain how Trippier has been better than Tottenham’s current crop of players on key aspects.
As far as accurate crosses are concerned, Trippier leads the way with 91 last season, Tottenham’s leading man was Eriksen with 32 accurate crosses.
Trippier created more chances (64) than Lamela and Chadli, only Eriksen created more than the Burnley star with 84 for Spurs.
The 24 year old defender made 82 interceptions last season, more than any Tottenham defender. Vertonghen made 70 interceptions.
Danny Rose was the leading Spurs man for successful tackles last season with 70, Kieran made 57 successful tackles.
