Spurs to Move in Pole Position for £32.5m Superstar

BPLIt will be fair to say that no World Class striker would prefer moving to a non CL club unless huge wages are involved.
Spurs cannot guarantee hefty wages and will not be taking part in next season’s Champions League as well.
Hence the North Londoners must sign the best possible star who may move to White Hart Lane and a major plus if that forward is proven in Premier League.
One such player is Aston Villa star Christian Benteke. The player also wants to play in the CL but for no Champions League club has genuine interest in signing the Belgian international. Moreover, Spurs are a massive step up for Benteke from Villa.
According to reports, Spurs could move in pole position to sign Benteke by bidding first for the Villa star.
As per the provided link, Chelsea are linked with Benteke as well but they are more interested in signing Radamel Falcao.
Benteke was average in the first half of last season but came back to life in the second half as he scored for fun and helped Villa stay up and also reach the final of the FA Cup.
The 24 year old has a release clause of £32.5m but should be available for less. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds this summer.

Not even the Spuds would pay £32M for Benteke, if they do they’ve more money than sense.
