Manchester United have been linked with many top class players this summer but up till now have only completed one signing officially.
Memphis Depay is surely a quality talent but the Red Devils still need to reinforce their attack with a prolific goal scorer.
One such player targeted was Croatian international Mario Mandzukic. However, United have lost out on the former Bayern Munich star as Mandzukic has officially signed for Italian champions Juventus from Atletico Madrid.
The 29 year old star striker has signed a long term deal that will expire in 2019 and the fee could rise to €21million as reported by BBC.
Mario is delighted to have completed the switch from the Spanish side as he claimed:
“I like Juventus and I like the city [Turin]. I hope I will be happy here. I will fight for my new team,”
He scored 20 goals in 43 appearances for Atletico Madrid last season and will likely replace Carlos Tevez who looks set to depart this summer.
Manchester United, on the other hand can forget about winning PL if they are not going to reinforce their strike-force in the transfer market. Louis van Gaal must sign a top striker at all costs.
