Deal Close as €230,000-a-week Superstar Wants Man United Move: Fee Negotiation in Next 24 Hours

Louis Van GaalIn the past week, United were mainly linked with top class central defender Nicolas Otamendi of Valencia.
However, over the last weekend, the Red Devils had a new name in the lime light, Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos.
The 29 year old Spanish defender has been ever present in Los Blancos’ starting XI since very young age but some how now he is ready to move.
According to reports, Manchester United are close to signing Sergio Ramos from Spanish giants after offering him a mammoth €230,000-a-week contract.
Moreover, as per the provided link, the deal is set to happen as Ramos himself favors Man United move and the fee between both clubs can be sorted soon as the English side will open talks for negotiations.
Over the year Ramos has played as a right back, a central defender and was even used in midfield last season by Carlo Ancelotti. Highly likely, Ramos will be utilized in central defense of Man United if he arrives.
Ramos is considered to be a very hot headed player but fortunately did not receive any red card last season while featuring in 42 games for Real Madrid.
In your Opinion, is Ramos better option than Otamendi?

They are good, we need the two of in case of injuries.

  2. trevor says:

Another player using United for a pay rise

  3. Benardoyat says:

When Madrid fc is willing, then hurry to bring S Ramos i supported remember chances never come twice and main problem is defence now with Utd

  4. Benn says:

He is so smart but it seems man u are targeting all the players in the world, once it was Matt Hummels recently it was Otamendi, Raphael Varane and now Sergio Ramos…and there is no signing as yet. Therefore, there are clear chances man u are going to loose all of them by the end of the day if that is the trend. Demand Raphael Varane if they are demanding our best player, De gea. If they are not willing to let him leave for old trafford, end the transactions there…and better leave de gea go on free…

Man Utd Should Plan for the future, meaning they should avoid buying players over 27yrs,and so what I am trying to say is that Sergio Ramos shouldn’t be baught though he is good now,b’se after 2yrs he will start getting injuries resulting from ageing factors,a good example is Carrick and VP who are very good but always getting injuries b’se off the -ve effects of ageing; Thanks.

  6. Frank Akomea says:

We need Otamendi because he is younger than Ramos and used De Gea in exchange of Benzema or Verane .

  7. Frank Akomea says:

The romours are getting too much buy us the players, then if not Van Gaal must leave the club and go period.

  8. Thomas says:

We are making too much noise in the transfer market than actions. LVG is not focus, we need a whole lot of talented, young, tactical, smart, flexible defender to replace vidic and d like. Or else we are not going anywhere next season.

  9. Gift supuni says:

We need to build a strong team of young talented players that can win trophies next season and the other 3 seasons to come then no need for us to buy over aged player that will need replacement just after two seasons,if so its better to hold the players we have rather than overspend for other team’s veterans that will give us problems(injuries) WE ARE POOR IN ACTION ON THE MARKET MANY TIMES WE JUST GOOD AT CHOOSING PLAYERS BUT FINALISING IS A PROBLEM

  10. ajayi Eniton says:

Signing Otm is rather necessary than “Ramos”,Hummels in E vans out, only if R Madrid can engaged in a swap deal in btw De Gea & Ramos

  11. Obi says:

Van gaal is confused infact y does he like old players this is premiership not italian league. Get us players who can last for us for som years.

  12. cathalp says:

Why not Ramos and Otamendi? Every good side needs two decent centre backs and while Ramos gives us more experience now Otamendi will give us youth and experience for the future.

  13. Bol john says:

They are all ok for the team. One will be a substitute of the other. Besides that LVG is equipping the the midfield and defend and where main strikers in our team? We could rather advise this old man to buy lethal/deadly strikers than jumping from player to player. In additional he knows that De Gea is leaving and he has upto now made any replacement. He is good in choosing but poor in finishing.

  14. Masache says:

Its ashame that people are pointing fingers at LVG yet the stories are said to be rumours. The writers are doing that to sell their papers. What I know is that Ed Woodward is the one who negotiates the deals of buying a player and not LVG. If MANU fails in buying a player then is a failure of Woodward and not LVG.

  15. Freddie says:

Every blessed day Man United is linked with one player or the other, what does Van Gal really want, when is he making the real purchase?. We are getting tired pls

  16. abbey says:

To me I think the best option is otamendi he because he is young n strong and he has many years left in him as for Ramos, gush utd is going for an operational planning asset instead of a strategic plan….. Pls Mr van gaal should understand this is premier league where young n energetic talents are seriously needed not againg players… And please we are tired of all these rumours we need actions!!!! Fakati…. I rest my case!

manchester united needs experience and youth and we need world calls players i believe van gaal has done a good job with the team that he had to work with as a coach you put players on the field that you believe are confident to do the job and now we will be in champions league n he is trying to get world class players on the team ramos is a world class defender n bastian is one of the best midfielders in the world even at his age n we still have a few more season out of them both s van gaal if you read these comments keep on doing what your doing and try uur best to get us those players and silence the critics
