Tottenham CLOSE in to Sign World Class Superstar

Mario Mandzukic Bayern MunichTottenham are in need of a top quality striker in the summer transfer window and one superstar is in the lime light.
The player in discussion is highly rated Croatian star and current Atletico Madrid forward Mario Mandzukic.
29 year old striker moved to La Liga last summer leaving after leaving German giants Bayern Munich. However, even after decent performances for Atletico, he might be leaving the club in summer.
According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur are closing in to sign Mandzukic and may have to splash heavy cash to acquire his services.
Mario has scored 20 goals and provided 5 assists in 43 games for Atletico Madrid and has a proven goalscoring record through out his career.
For now, Spurs have one quality striker in the form of Harry Kane but absolutely not depth or quality available apart from the England international.
Mandzukic is someone who will guarantee goals and will lessen the burden on Kane as well. It will be a massive coup if Tottenham can sign the Croat star because they are not going to play next season’s Champions Leaugue as well while Mario is a European Cup winner with Bayern.
Also, it will be intriguing to see the formation Pochettino opts to play if Mandzukic arrives as normally Spurs play a lone striker formation and surely Mario will not be a bench warmer.

I don’t believe he is a player Spurs would really be looking at – that much money for a player that age…

Good striker. Asking price at 29years old not worth it. Spurs is building a young team
