Manchester United need to reinforce almost every single department in the next summer transfer window.
As far as goalkeeping is concerned, holding onto David de Gea will be as good as any business they will do this summer as he has been their best player this season.
However, the Spanish star needs a stable defense in front of him and Van Gaal must fix that.
The defense has cost Man United many a times this season as it lacks a leader. The Red Devils must do all to secure signing of a top central defender who will lead the line.
According to reports, Manchester United are again interested in long term target, Argentine international Ezequiel Garay. The South American star currently plays for Russian side Zenit.
As per the provided link, United did try to sign the former Benfica star when David Moyes was in charge but the deal broke down.
This time around though, United are ready to make an offer of €24.9m offer for the 28 year old star and Metro suggest that Zenit are ready to accept such an offer from the Red Devils.
Garay is an experienced defender and was part of the World Cup squad that reached the final last year.

To me Hummels is a better player than Garay if you leave alone Dortmond’s position

Manchester united needs Nigel Dejong as a back up defensive midfielder because he’s powerful and energetic against the likes of Stoke, Chelsea and Man City, with Ikay Gundogan. Man U should try and sign Nathaniel Clyne and Mat Hummels.
I think the signing of GARAY will be a great reinforcement in terms of defense. Injury prone player like Jones, evans, and many more should be shown way out respectively. if we can’t secure the signing of mat humel, i think signing garay is a nice deal.
I don’t like that cavani guy. Maybe I haven’t seen the best of him at psg yet because he is been played out wide. He is just so waistfull. I also think garay is a better and cheaper deal to that of Hummels. I have always said it. Matt isn’t fast. He lacks pace.
