Arsenal were eager to sign Cabaye from Newcastle but the French international was snapped up by Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners are back again to secure the 29 year old star who has been frustrated with lack of playing time in France.
Cabaye was one of the most in form midfielders in the premier league for magpies and Wenger was keen to secure his services but PSG paid £15.5million and signed him.
Since then, Yohan has featured in 19 league games for the French champions. However, he could only start 10 and has only completed 90 minutes in just a single game.
Clearly, the above mentioned stats suggest that Blanc does not have Cabaye in his plans and hence according to reports Arsenal are set to finally sign him for just $15 million.
Whether or not he will get straight into the starting XI of the Gunners is another question as for now the current crop is doing brilliantly.

We need a destroyer like PV 4.Wanyama or his Saint pal will fit in.
We have enough creative players but not enough of those who can stop the other side playing.
We need a midfield destroyer with a few goals in him. Someone with a proven fitness record. Prehaps not too old so will be around to take the team to the next level.
