Liverpool Player Ratings Against Swansea

Allen Rodgers Liverpool FCLiverpool defeated Swansea at the Liberty Stadium last night to once again move two points of fourth place Manchester United.
The merseysiders will face arch rivals United next weekend in a crunch contest. Both teams are in form.
The Reds though were not the usual convincing last night like they have been since the turn of the year and needed some luck to earn all three points.
First half was all about Swansea as Liverpool could not get their passing together and lost the ball often in midfield to attract trouble.
Fortunately, Simon Mignolet was in top form to keep the Swans out as the Belgian international made few quality saves to take the game into half time at 0-0.
After the break Liverpool had more control. Joe Allen, who was mundane in the first half, impressed in the second with nice touches and passes. Steven Gerrard then came on to provide more stability to Liverpool midfield.
Eventually Jordan Henderson scored the winner with a lucky deflected shot but Liverpool got what they needed and now must go on to beat United to be in pole position for top 4 spot.
Here are Liverpool player ratings vs Swansea.

“Sturridge 6.0”. Says it all. He was such a waste of space and if we call Balotelli lazy, then there are no words left to describe Sturridge’s attitude. A shadow of his former self. He’ll never reach the heights of last season again so best bench him now for the good of the team.
