Since becoming Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal has only secured the services of one Dutch man in the form of Daley Blind.
It seems that they may complete the signing of another by capturing Galatasaray’s Wesley Sneijder.
According to Express, Manchester United are all clear and closing in on a deal to sign 30 year old playmaker from the Turkish giants.
As per the provided link, Sneijder has €20m release clause in his contract and Gala are only willing to let him go if that clause is activated. Juventus were in for Sneijder’s signature as well but deem that price tag as too high.
The former Inter Milan superstar has been linked with a move to Old Trafford during Fergie era as well. The Scot wanted to sign the versatile attacker who was at that time the best attacking midfielder in the world.
However, with compatriot Van Gaal at helm, there is more chance that United will seal deal for him.
There are certain concerns. Sneijder is not in top form, in 24 games this season, he has only scored 4 goals and set up one. So is it worth paying the above mentioned sum for him? Secondly, where will Sneijder play in the United setup?
Even if we take into consideration that United do not make Falcao signing permanent and Rooney and Van Persie play upfront. United still have top playmakers in the form of Mata and Di Maria.
Also taking into consideration that the Devils need to sign a quality full back, central defender and a midfielder, here is how Manchester United will line up with Wesley Sneider.
