Manchester United Close in to Secure £32m Superstar Signing

Manchester United have been in search of a world class defender for very long and are desperate to sign one in the winter transfer window.
After the departure of legendary figures like Rio Ferdinand and former captain Nemanja Vidic in the summer, United have failed to replace them.
They did sign Marcos Rojo for central defense but he has been more influential at the left back position.
On the other hand, injuries have been constantly haunting Manchester United at the back and even now the concerns are there.
The Red Devils were mad about signing Mats Hummels in the last transfer window but the German international opted to stay with Dortmund.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s side have been in turmoil in the domestic league and captain Hummels is one of few players who are expected to leave the club.
According to reports, Manchester United are closing in the £32m Mats Hummels but face competition with Arsenal as well.
The Gunners are currently 2 points behind the Red Devils and have not performed at the optimum level as well.
However, they have that German connection with players like Gnabry, Podolski, Mertersacjer and record signing Mesut Ozil to attract Hummels.
Hummels is arguably one of the best central defenders in the world and Van Gaal is a huge admirer but signing him in mid season is easier said than done.
The Devils can surely pay more wages to Hummels than what Arsenal might offer but will that make the difference, only time will tell.
