Arsenal supporters are disappointed with the start to the new season and already Wenger is under pressure.
Last season, after 9 games, the Gunners were on top of the Barclays premier league.
This campaign, they are already 9 points behind league leaders Chelsea and not even in the top 4.
It will be fair to say that the big players have failed to deliver for Arsenal except just one in the form of new signing Alexis Sanchez.
The former Barcelona star had a fantastic season for the Nou Camp side but Barca opted to sell him and bring in Luis Suarez from Liverpool.
Sanchez is easily the best playmaker in the Arsenal squad at the moment and arguably better than Chelsea’s and Man United’s best playmaker Hazard and Di Maria respectively.
The stats do not really tell the entire story with teams lying in different positions and Chelsea flying high at the moment but still do they explain more than a few things.
Sanchez has already scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists for the Gunners in all competitions this season.
Belgian international Eden Hazard has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists while Man United’s record signing from Real Madrid Angel Di Maria has scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists.
Di Maria arrived late on in the transfer window, that should be taken into consideration but the Argentine star has not really been at his best in the last few games as well.

Alexis is a very good player. He hasn’t yet hit top gear as the supporting cast at Arsenal haven’t gelled properly. He will easily score 15-20 goals this season along with 10 assist. Also the Gunners will slowly inch upwards in the table as players come back from injuries
No doubt about his abilities, but comparing him with Di’Maria is kinda strange…. The guy has got his head up in a wrong club. Barca & Arsenal play obviously the same kinda game, but he was sold as good as he is cause he plays virtually a different game compared to theirs. Had he been in Liverpool, ManCity, Chelsea, ManUtd or even Tottenham, he woulda been outstanding & more recognised…. So make no mistake abt comparing him with DI’Maria(he is a player summoned from another planet) cause you won’t wanna have him when you have the opportunity of getting DI’Maria though both can be in a team..
