Man United with €25m Take it or Leave it Offer for Van Gaal's Favorite

Manchester United desperately need to strengthen their shaky defense that cost them the place in the CL last season.
The Red Devils have already secured fullback Luke Shaw from the Saints but the central defense still remains a big issue.
Numerous center halves are linked with a move to Man United including the likes of Stefan de Vrij, Miranda, Mangala etc. However, Van Gaal’s favorite is Mats Hummels.
Previously reported by Mirror, the new Manchester United boss asked the board to sanction move for the German international who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund under the management of Jurgen Klopp.
It seems that his wish is getting fulfilled now as according to the latest reports, Manchester United are ready to make a €25m take it or leave it offer to sign Mats Hummels from the German club.
Hummels is arguably one of the best central defenders in the world at the moment and is crucial to Germany’s world cup winning chances.
He was badly missed in the last knock out round game against Algeria and will give the three time world champions massive boost when he returns for the quarter final tie versus the French side.
As per the provided Metro link, Hummels is content staying with Dortmund but if the bid is accepted, United can offer the German star attractive salary package so as to persuade him for the move.
