Manchester United Close in on Luring €36m Midfield Starlet

Kevin StrootmanWith every passing day it looks more and more likely that Louis van Gaal will become Manchester United’s manager and only official announcements need to be made.
The Dutch manager sees his compatriot as the priority signing in the upcoming transfer window for Man United. The player in discussion is Roma and Netherleands’ midfielder Kevin Strootman.
According to reports, Manchester United close in on luring the €36m midfield starlet as Louis van Gaal targets his fellow Dutchman to join him at Old Trafford for next season.
The 24 year old starlet was even linked with Manchester United last summer but Roma lured him.
Strootman was brilliant for the Serie A side but suffered a horrific injury in March that ruled him out of the rest of campaign and even out of the World Cup.
His absence is a massive blow for the Dutch side as Van Gaal considered him a huge player for the side going to Brazil.
As per the provided link, Van Gaal believes that Strootman is exactly the kind of strong player United need in midfield.
Red Devils have been disastrous in midfielder department under Moyes and that has been the main reason of their demise from 1st to 7th place.
Manchester United should not waste time and must look to lure the Dutch star before the World Cup.
