Arsenal finally ended their trophy drought but still cannot end their idiotic habit of selling star players every season.
Since Arsenal won the FA Cup in 2005, they sold many of their star assets including four captains namely Vieira, Henry, Fabregas and Robin van Persie.
All the mentioned stars have went on to bigger things while the Gunners’ progress was halted for obvious reason.
They did ruin the premier league this year as well but fortunately for Wenger and the supporters, the club ended a 9 year run without silverware to win another FA Cup.
Now that they have won the first trophy after moving to Emirates, Arsenal need to build for next season and the first and foremost step is to keep your star players.
However, once again, Gunners have failed to convince another star player Bacary Sagna to stay and according to reports, the French international has officially confirmed the club that he will not sign a new deal and will join a new club this summer.
The news is a major blow for Arsenal at the worst possible time and now Wenger will have that dilemma of signing a right back who may take time to settle in the club.
Sagna was arguably one of the best full backs in the premier league last season and if he joins a rival PL club like City or Chelsea, it will be another setback for Gunners.

Players were not leaving for the money mostly but for the chance of silverware , ok the money is a bonus but players want trophies they all ready earn millions.

Sagna is going because he wants more money. Could have been a legend but now he will be a squad player at city, and as for best rb in the league? He hasn’t been for years.
