Liverpool Ratings & Review vs Norwich – 11 on the Spin

Brendan Rodgers LiverpoolLiverpool did what City and Chelsea failed in their last games i.e. to fight hard and win against a relegation threatened team and strengthen position in the title race.
Reds are now 5 points clear of second place Chelsea and 9 of Manchester City who have two games in hand.
Liverpool have been quick out of the blocks in almost every game this season and they did the same against Norwich as within 10 minutes, the merseysiders were 2-0 up thanks to a brilliant opener by Sterling and second set up by him for Luis Suarez who netted his 12th goal against Norwich.
However, like against City, after taking 2-0 lead, Liverpool opted to take the foot off the gas and sit back. Inviting pressure is not one of their strengths, fortunately they did not concede before the break.
Norwich continued pressing and kicking balls in the box hoping that Liverpool will fail to deal with one and that is exactly what happened. A hopeless clearance from Mignolet gifted the home side a lifeline.
It did not take long as Sterling again doubled Liverpool’s lead 8 minutes after conceding. Liverpool seemed comfortable until another hoof-ball in the box unsettled them and Snodgrass scored the second.
In the end, Liverpool held on to register yet another win, 11th on the spin and remain title favorites. Here are the Liverpool player ratings vs Norwich.
