Didier Drogba is arguably the most legendary striker in Chelsea’s history but the current Galatsaray star believes that Blues have got a better striker than him.
The player in discussion is Belgian star Romelu Lukaku who joined the Stamford Bridge side more than 2 years back.
However, baffling that no manager preferred him despite his obvious qualities.
Lukaku was without doubt Chelsea’s best striker last season, on loan at West Brom and again he is the best striker this season but once again on loan, this time at Everton.
Drogba has come up and claimed that Lukaku is actually better than him when he was that young.
“I know I am his idol and we get on well,”
“It is flattering to see that he identifies with me.”
“But we have to stop comparing us. He is big too, certainly, but he is already tougher and he has qualities I don’t. Of course, I have some that he will only acquire with time.”
“He will do big things and it has already started. His progression is better than mine.”
“At the age of 19, he was at Chelsea. I was at Le Mans.”
Whether or not Drogba is right, Lukaku is a quality player and Chelsea’s best striker. Will they keep him, only time will tell.
